Long ago in Nauvoo twenty sisters sat.
Side by side a rainbow of difference.
From the newest rose bud,
To the full mature bloom of womanhood.
Knitted together in faith,
harmonized in aim.
They were sisters.
We too are known and loved by the same Father.
Striving to build the kingdom one family,
one home at a time.
Much strength is drawn from our sisterhood.
Our sister stumbles as we have,
We reach to lift and steady her.
Tired and weary, yet not alone,
the courage, commitment and testimony of our sisters spurs us on.
Our Father's work to do.
Behold the handmaids of the Lord
We are his hands and through us
Charity never faileth.
