On Sunday, September 11th, 2011, let us display an American flag outside every home, apartment, office, and store in the United States . Let every individual make it their privilege to display an American flag on this the tenth anniversary of one of our country's most devastating tragedies. Let us do this to honor those who lost their lives on 9/11, and their families, friends and loved ones who continue to endure the pain, and those who today are fighting at home and abroad to preserve our cherished freedoms.
In the days, weeks and months following 9/11, our country was bathed in American flags as citizens mourned the incredible losses and stood shoulder-to-shoulder against terrorism. Our patriotism pulled us through some tough times and our continued demonstration of faith in our Country can stand as a beacon of hope to those who continue to mourn and to those who stand in our defense. Our American flag is the fabric of our country and together our faith can prevail over all that would destroy our freedom.
