Expect A Miracle

The Savior said, He'll lift our burdens.

Are we letting Him?

"We more readily receive and recognize the Spirit of the Lord as we appropriately invite Him into our lives. We cannot compel, coerce, or command the Holy Ghost. Rather, we should invite Him into our lives with the same gentleness and tenderness by which He entreats us."
David A. Bednar

Some of us as we go forward are going to meet with disappointment, perhaps many disappointments, some of them crucial…

God is aware of you individually. He knows who you are and what you are and furthermore he knows what you are capable of becoming.
Be not discouraged then if you do not get all the things you want just when you want them.

Have the courage to go on and face your life.

"When the Lord said, 'Lengthen your stride,

quicken your pace, heighten your reach,

widen your vision, and stretch your capacity,'

he was, in reality, saying 'expect a miracle'..."

"In His service the Holy Ghost comes as a companion

to those who try to do the best they can."

Christ's requirements are not so that we can make

the best of the Atonement,

But so that on His generous terms

the Atonement can make the best of Us.

Brad Wilcox

"Miracles are everywhere to be found when priesthood

callings are magnified.

 When faith replaces doubt,

when selfless service eliminates selfish striving,

the power of God brings to pass His purposes.

Whom God calls, God qualifies"

Thomas S. Monson

"The past is behind--we must learn from it. The future is ahead—

we must prepare for it. The present is now—we must live in it"

Thomas S. Monson

"Perfect love is perfectly patient"

Neal A. Maxwell

"The more clearly we see eternity, the more obvious it becomes that the

Lord's work in which we are engaged is one vast and grand work with

striking similarities on each side of the veil. . . .

"If we live in such a way that the considerations

of eternity press upon us,

we will make better decisions"

Spencer W. Kimball

God wants our obedience and sacrifice,

But only as a means to an end.

He wants us to live the gospel,

But even this is still a means to an end.

What He ultimately wants from all of us is exactly that

All of Us

He wants our consecration.

Brad Wilcox

"The pure in heart have a distinctive way of looking at life.

Their attitudes and desires cause them to

view their experiences in terms of eternity.

This eternal perspective affects their choices & priorities.

As they draw farther from worldliness they feel closer

to our Father in Heaven and more able

to be guided by his Spirit.

We call this state of mind,

this quality of life, spirituality"

Dallin H. Oaks

Take your team and wagon, load it with your love,
Your testimony, and a spiritual sack of flour,
Then drive in any direction.
The Lord will lead you to those in need.

Jeffrey R. Holland

Every day do something that will
inch you closer to a better tomorrow.
Doug Firebaugh

God ever works with those who work with will.

Aeschylus

What we are shines more brightly than anything
We say or do.  If we are to fill the world with light,
We must first face any tattered remnant of
Darkness that remains in our own souls.

Jeffrey R. Holland

"The process of adding one godly attribute to another,

as described by Peter [in 2 Peter 1],

becomes the key to gaining this

knowledge that leads to eternal life"

Ezra Taft Benson

"The best way to shape the future is to influence it."

Harry Mills

"Do, or do not. There is no 'try'"

"Obstacles are those frightful things you

see when you take your eyes off your goal"

Henry Ford

"He who has a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how'"

"Courage is what it takes to stand up and speak,

Courage is also what it takes to sit down and listen"
