Became our Christ....he became our Savior

"Pleasure usually takes the form of 'me' and 'now,'
while joy is 'us' and 'always.'"
Neal A. Maxwell
"A successful marriage requires falling in love many times and always with the same person."

"Each day I am thankful for nights that turned into mornings,
friends that turned into family,
dreams that turned into reality
and likes that turned into love."

"Be soft. Do not let the world make you hard. Do not let the pain make you hate.
Do not let the bitterness steal away your sweetness. Take pride that even though the world may disagree,
you still believe it to be a beautiful place."

"My friends, there is an opportunity for you to become great just as great as you wish to be.  In starting out in life you may set your hearts upon things very difficult to attain to, but possibly within your reach.  In your first efforts to gratify your desires you may fail, and your continued efforts may not prove what may be termed a success.  But inasmuch as your efforts were honest efforts, and inasmuch as your desires were founded in righteousness, the experience you obtain while pursuing your hearts' desires must necessarily be profitable to you, and even your mistakes, if mistakes you make, will be turned to your advantage."
"Do not expect to become perfect at once.  If you do, you will be disappointed.
Be better today than you were yesterday, and be better tomorrow than you are today."
Lorenzo Snow
Every Day Better
"When you throw dirt, you lose ground."

"Each of us must pass through our own Gethsemanes."
Glenn L. Pace

"We do not know, we cannot tell, no mortal mind can conceive
the full import of what Christ did in Gethsemane."
Bruce R. McConkie

"Jesus perfected his life and became our Christ. Priceless blood of a god was shed, and he became our Savior; his perfected life was given, and he became our Redeemer; his atonement for us made possible our return to our Heavenly Father, and yet how thoughtless, how unappreciative are most beneficiaries!
Ingratitude is a sin of the ages."
Spencer W. Kimball

"Most people carrying heavy loads begin to doubt themselves & their own worth. We lighten their loads as we are patient with their weaknesses & celebrate whatever goodness we can see in them. The Lord does that."

Life has no remote get up and change it yourself.

"Courage is required to make an initial thrust toward one's coveted goal, but even greater courage is called for when one stumbles and must make a second effort to achieve. Have the determination to make the effort, the single-mindedness to work toward a worthy goal, and the courage not only to face the challenges that inevitably come but also to make a second effort, should such be required. Sometimes courage is the little voice at the end of the day that says,
'I'll try again tomorrow.'"

Thomas S. Monson
