A Sacred Date

I have a special, sacred date,
To meet someone within this gate,
To take his hand and climb the stair
And with him, every blessing share.
Dear, loving Father, help me now,
To keep this date, someday, somehow.
Let nothing I may do today
Deprive me of this joy, I pray.
