Fulfill the Lord's promise

¶Then cometh Jesus from Galilee to Jordan unto John, to be baptized of him.

But John forbad him, saying, I have need to be baptized of thee, and comest thou to me?

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfil all righteousness.

Then he suffered him.

Matthew 3:13-15

And now, I would ask of you, my beloved brethren, wherein the Lamb of God did

fulfil all righteousness in being baptized by water?

Know ye not that he was holy? But notwithstanding he being holy, he showeth unto the children of men that, according to the flesh he humbleth himself before the Father, and witnesseth unto the Father that he would be obedient unto him in keeping his commandments.

2 Nephi 31:6-7

One hot and dusty afternoon, the Savior sat beside a well. When a woman came to draw water, Jesus asked her for a drink. Though she did not recognize the Savior, she put aside her own heavy burdens to serve and in so doing found the love and peace only He can give.

Doesn’t every woman dream of being taught at the Savior’s feet? Aren’t we all drawn to Him and desire to be like Him? Serving is a part of every woman. We are born with a deep desire to give of ourselves and serve others and each time we do we discover, as did the woman at the well, that we are actually serving the Lord.

May we recognize the “strangers” in our own lives and
fulfill the Lord’s promise, “Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.”  Matthew 25:40
