- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, very soft
- 1 large egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 and ½ cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup extra chocolate chips for topping after the cookies are removed from oven
INSTRUCTIONS
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the sugar and butter.
- Add in the egg, egg yolk an
- Bake for 14 minutes.
- Remove the cookies from the oven and place chocolate chips on top of each cookie when they are still hot.
- Add vanilla and mix until smooth.
- Mix flour and baking powder in a separate bowl and slowly fold in the mixture. Stir until everything is just combined.
- Fold in the 1 cup chocolate chips.
- Refrigerate the dough for 24 hours.
- Preheat the oven to 325 F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drop cookie dough on it with the help of two teaspoons.
