Be not dismayed at the trials of life......look for the good

Hope’s and perhaps even dreams may have been dashed after the outcome of yesterday’s election but be not dismay, Do not plant seeds of doubt or dispare, do not evening give them a chance to enter your mind’s or heart’s,  do not give them the opportunity to grow or flourish, but rather let us plant seeds of hope, seeds of faith and nourish their roots in the soil of righteous principles in the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Do not questions too much, dear friend, for God who ordained the beginning

can safely be trusted with the end, as well as with all that lies in between.

“If we are constantly aware of the seeds of divinity in us,

it will help us rise above earthly challenges and difficulties.”

James E. Faust

“Forgiveness plants and nourishes the seeds of Christlike love in both the giver and the receiver. Indeed, forgiveness, in its fullest expression, is synonymous with charity, the pure love of Christ.”
Roderick J. Linton
Hope has the power to fill our lives with happiness.
Hope sustains us through despair.
Hope teaches that there is reason to rejoice even when all seems dark around us.

Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Never surrender, Never allow despair to overcome your spirit.
Embrace and rely upon the Hope of Israel, for the love of the Son of God pierces all darkness,
softens all sorrow, and gladdens every heart.

Dieter F. Uchtdorf

Hope is like the beam of sunlight rising up and above the horizon of our present circumstances. It pierces the darkness with a brilliant dawn. It encourages and inspires us to place our trust in the loving care of an eternal Heavenly Father, who has prepared a way for those who seek for eternal truth in a world of relativism, confusion and of fear.

Dieter F. Uchtdorf

"The Divine Shepherd has a message of hope, strength, and deliverance for all. If there were no night, we would not appreciate the day, nor could we see the stars and the vastness of the heavens. We must partake of the bitter with the sweet. There is a divine purpose in the adversities we encounter every day. They prepare, they purge, they purify, and thus they bless."

James E. Faust

“Be not dismayed at the trials of life; they are sent for our good. God
knows what keys in the human soul to touch in order to draw out its sweetest
and most perfect harmonies. These may be the strains of sadness and sorrow
as well as the loftier notes of joy and gladness.”

Reed Smoot
Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.

herefore, let us exercise charity and forgiveness, love and mercy, one towards another; and go out of your way to help those that are in distress, so that the widow’s voice shall not ascend to God in complaint against the people for the lack of food, or raiment, or shelter. See to it that the orphan is not without a home in the midst of this people, nor without food or raiment, or chance to improve his mind. See to it that charity pervades all your actions and dwells in your hearts, inspiring you to look after the poor and afflicted, comforting those that are in prison, if they need comforting, and ministering unto those that are sick; for he that giveth a cup of cold water to a prophet in the name of a prophet will receive a prophet’s reward.”

Joseph F. Smith

“Even though events and circumstances in the world at times become discouraging, our task, not alone in the Christmas season but always, is to be of good cheer. The Lord so often counsels us to have cheerfulness in our lives.  ‘And now, verily I say unto you, and what I say unto one I say unto all, be of good cheer, little children; for I am in your midst, and I have not forsaken you.’
The Lord will be in our midst, he will be with us and stand by us and lead us.”
Spencer W. Kimball
“The Savior knows each of us in a personal way. He has assured us of His personal acquaintance, His awareness of our needs, and His presence in our times of need. He counseled, ‘I say unto you that mine eyes are upon you. I am in your midst and ye cannot see me’ ‘The Savior is in our midst, sometimes personally, frequently through his servants, and always by his Spirit’
L. Lionel Kendrick
“…Look for the good in each person, and mention it in a sincere and consistent way. It is amazing how hearts can be softened, testimonies implanted, and relationships improved when we begin to give a daily portion of heartfelt appreciation. It has a marvelous effect on preparing the spirit. Even mentioning a little thing will have a positive effect. It usually isn’t earth-shaking-just a simple act or attribute that will blossom and be multiplied if it is noticed. (By the way, it may take you all day to find something, but it is there.) One day after school, one of our daughters came into a teenage son’s room. It looked as if a big wind had blown through. He was sitting in the midst of it all. She felt the anger rising within, but remembered her resolution to look for the good. Searching desperately, her eye finally looked upward. ‘Your ceiling’s really clean, Adam!’ she was able to say quite honestly. He laughed; he got the message, and he cleaned up the room.”
H. Burke Peterson
“Our journey into the future will not be a smooth highway which stretches from here to eternity. Rather, there will be forks and turnings in the road, to say nothing of the unanticipated bumps. We must pray daily to a loving Heavenly Father, who wants each of us to succeed in life.”
Thomas S. Monson
