Hope hangs on a fragile string and flutters at the breeze of each breath with wings filled with faith & joy she extends hope with gentle hand.

"Some things simply matter more than others,…Even some doctrines, though interesting and fun to discuss, must take a backseat to more fundamental and foundational doctrines. It is just so with the Atonement of Jesus Christ. The Atonement is the central act of human history, the pivotal point in all time, the doctrine of doctrines…An attempt to master this doctrine requires an immersion of all our senses, all our feelings, and all our intellect,….Given the opportunity, the Atonement will invade each of the human passions and faculties....The Atonement is not a doctrine that lends itself to some singular approach, like a universal formula. It must be felt, not just figured, internalized, not just analyzed....The Atonement of Jesus Christ is the most supernal, mind-expanding, passionate doctrine this world or universe will ever know."
Robert L. Millet
In the temple, as covenants are made, Jesus symbolically holds our hands tighter and tighter until we are finally held so firmly it is almost impossible to break the grasp. Such symbols teach us about accessing Christ’s power through covenants.

“What we too often fail to realize is that at the same time we covenant with God, He is covenanting with us, promising blessings, privileges and pleasures our eyes have not yet seen and our ears have not yet heard. Though we may see our part in the matter of faithfulness going by fits and starts, bumps and burst, our progress erratic at best, God’s part is sure and steady and supreme. We may stumble, but He never does. We may falter, but He never will. We may feel out of control, but He never is….Covenants forge a link between our telestial, mortal struggles and God’s celestial, immortal powers.
Patricia T. Holland.
